Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme where we randomly select a book from our Goodreads To Be Read list and share it with the world. It’s hosted by Lauren’s Page Turners, so be sure to link back to her site so that we can all see what everyone plans to read!
Silver in the Wood
by Emily Tesh
Fantasy
112 pages
First published June 18, 2019, by Tor
From Goodreads: There is a Wild Man who lives in the deep quiet of Greenhollow, and he listens to the wood. Tobias, tethered to the forest, does not dwell on his past life, but he lives a perfectly unremarkable existence with his cottage, his cat, and his dryads.
When Greenhollow Hall acquires a handsome, intensely curious new owner in Henry Silver, everything changes. Old secrets better left buried are dug up, and Tobias is forced to reckon with his troubled past—both the green magic of the woods, and the dark things that rest in its heart.
This just looks like a beautiful book, and I have yet to read a Tor.com title that I haven’t liked. If there’s a better publisher of science fiction and fantasy than Tor, I would like to see it. Silver in the Wood is just one of the Tor novellas from 2019 that I want to read. It’s just a matter of getting my hands on it!
I’m eager to read it too.
