Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme where we randomly select a book from our Goodreads To Be Read list and share it with the world. It’s hosted by Lauren’s Page Turners, so be sure to link back to her site so that we can all see what everyone plans to read!
Last Song Before Night (The Harp and Ring sequence #1)

From Goodreads: Long ago, poets were Seers with access to powerful magic. Following a cataclysmic battle, the enchantments of Eivar were lost–now a song is only words and music, and no more. But when a dark power threatens the land, poets who thought only to gain fame for their songs face a task much greater: to restore the lost enchantments to the world. And the road to the Otherworld, where the enchantments reside, will imperil their lives and test the deepest desires of their hearts.
I haven’t heard much about Last Song Before Night, but what little I have heard has been good, so once I get a few more series finished up, I’ll have to track down a copy of this and give it a shot.
Fantasy books where music is a key element of magic always makes me happy. The Dragonriders of Pern have a sub-trilogy about the magic of music. I look forward to hearing what you think of this!
Sadly, I think it will be a long time before I get to this one! I don’t own a copy, and I’m not sure if my library does, either. Plus, everything’s closing down…….
😦 My library has been closed since March 14th, so I can relate. I have many book club books which will either not be read or I’ll have to buy the books for them. Which isn’t bad, but isn’t what I want to spend my money on right now.
I hope that you have plenty to read as things close down! I assume you won’t be wanting for literature?
With more than 100 unread books in my home library, I’m set for a long time. 🙂
