Last Friday, a line of severe thunderstorms moved through the area. There were tornadoes and flash flooding in other parts of the state, but my city avoided all of that. We avoided getting any rain, too, which was a little sad but we did end up with a beautiful sunset.
I decided to head toward a saline marsh north of town. It was rather gray and dreary on the drive there, and I was a little worried that it would still be like that when I arrived, but there were some breaks in the clouds as the sun set, and that provided some wonderful light.

Beautiful photos!
Thank you!
Loving these.
I sometimes like it when there are a bunch of clouds low in the sky. It’s like they’re giving a the world a ceiling.
I like it when there are low clouds, too. There’s so much going on with them and the light that the look of them is constantly changing.
Now that’s what we call drama! 🙂 And what’s even better was that you were there to witness and capture it.
I’m so glad I went! It’s easy to come home after a long day of work and just collapse on the couch, so I’m glad I got myself back up and went out. It was definitely worth it.
